Numerical simulation of seepage stability of anisotropic soil slope under coupled rainfall with sudden drop of reservoir water level
In order to understand the seepage stability under the condition of combined rainfall,this paper studies the numerical simulation of a slope in the three Gorges Reservoir area by using Geo-slope software,and discusses the variation of pore pressure and the safety factor of different monitoring points in the slope.The numerical simulation results show that the pore pressure of the upper monitoring point rises rapidly during rainfall,while the pore pressure of the lower monitoring point continues to decrease to stability.The safety factor decreases at first and then increases,and drops sharply during rainfall.The average decrease of safety factor of different types of rainfall is 3. 5%,and the influence of anisotropy is 9. 3%.The influence of rainfall alone on slope stability is important.
